Naru Intelligence participates in the conference on Artificial Intelligence organized by the Chamber of Gizpukoa and SPRI Enpresa Digitala

Last Wednesday, October 26, the Gipuzkoa Chamber of Comerce and SPRI Enpresa Digitala organized a new edition of the Technological Gipuzkoa conference in which experts discussed the topic  ‘Augmented Analytics: AI + Machine Learning + NLP at the service of all’. During the conference, different areas of application of these technologies, which are already key pieces in different sectors such as energy, logistics, manufacturing or medical, among others, were covered.

Macarena Sevilla, Head of Data Science at Naru, participated as a speaker focusing on the application of these technologies in the medical sector, with the topic “How to implement advanced analytics and Artificial Intelligence solutions to improve the lives of patients: challenges and application in real life”.

During her presentation, she discussed in depth the applications of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare, the particularities of the sector and the specific context that outline how these are applied in real clinical practice environments. She also pointed out the example of use and success story of Naru, Step, the Artificial Intelligence platform designed to learn from the oncology patient population and generate Real-World Evidence. Macarena emphasized the importance of its application in real environments to solve a real need: Step supports clinical and strategic decision making during the follow-up and treatment of oncologic patients and avoids complications in patients of the future.

At the conference other experts from leading companies and associations such as Cluster GAIA, Eroski, OPTIMITIVE Group, xabet, Tekniker and Bigda Solutions highlighted valuable applications of these technologies in other industry sectors and their relevance in the future of the industry. The conference was also supported by the Basque Artificial Intelligence Center (BAIC) and the Basque Government through the SPRI Group.
